00 — The room

This is the room, on an ordinary day

Mid-afternoon. Blinds down against the heat, the air conditioning doing what it can, everyone's machines already running. The studio works out of Austin and the UAE, and nothing here was tidied up for the picture. This is where your software gets built, and it looks like this most days.

01 — The desks

We scope it before we build it

Everything starts at these desks, usually with an argument about what the thing actually has to do. We cut the scope back, work out which part is most likely to go wrong, and go at that one first. Discovery isn't a line item we bill for and then skip.

02 — The machines

Built on what it will run on

We settle the infrastructure in the first week, not the week before launch. Typed the whole way through, deployed on every merge, and wired up so we hear that something broke before your users do. Where AI earns its place we build it in as one part of the system, not as the pitch.

03 — The screen

Things we shipped that are still running

The screen on that wall usually has whatever went out most recently on it. Everything below is live and has people using it today, so rather than take our word for any of this, go and open one.

04 — The window

And then it leaves the room

Blinds up, and there's the city. None of this counts until it's out there being used in Austin, Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. That's why we ship in weeks and keep shipping afterwards.

What happens next

  1. We reply within 4 hours, from a real person, not an auto-responder.
  2. A short scoping call to understand the goal, constraints, and timeline.
  3. A fixed-scope discovery sprint: a working prototype and a written estimate.
